Pimp Your Prospects (MLB 17 Edition)

I remember a thread in the Pro Baseball section like this so we might as well share some of our favorite CPU generated prospects through the draft process.

I'm running a franchise with the Twins so I'll have the #1 pick in the 2017 draft and here's the easy pick.



Looney looks to be a hitting machine that could make Minnesota forget about David Ortiz. Okay maybe not that great but he looks to be a franchise player in a hurry.

Vina was my first pick in a test franchise, but still the best prospect I have seen in a draft

Drafted this monster in the 2nd year draft for me reds. Start of season three, he came out to a 69 overall. About to make his first game here tomorrow when i get back on

18 year old SP Austin Prado



Thats his ratings at the all star break his first year in AA. Currently has a 1.22 ERA with a 0.84 WHIP in 103.2 IP. Ive done a few test sims and every one he has ended the 1st year with an 80+ overall.

20 year old RF Ryan McLain



I edited his batting stance so i lost his rating gains. Pretty much everything has went up 2 points. Doesnt hit many home runs but just gets on base. Through 60 games in AAA and 5 games in AA he was hitting .355/.429/.503.

Both taken in the same year. Has to be my best draft ever. Really excited to see what Prado can do.

Talk about striking gold with that 5 pitch repertoire.

Also I am pretty sure the prospect cap is a rating of 75. So if you get a 75 you got the best possible rating.

Hoping Looney is a 75!

You don't lose ratings gains when you edit stances, equipment, etc. they just do not display on the player card anymore unlike last year when you would lose then. So you still got to keep his improvements 👍🏻

Oh man, I'm going to try and post my prospects when I come back home at night.

Started a rebuilding project with the Padres last night using the newly released hybrid roster and I simulated the first 2 seasons.

The amount of great players I drafted was amazing! Really loving the scouting this year.
