Camera angles for better timing

First off, I am a long time player of the show. Every year since 2008. This year I seem to be noticing I am late on a lot of balls, most of my hits seem to be going to the opposite field including home runs. Last year when the fish eye camera came out I tried it for a while but I didn't like it because I felt like it was hurting my timing. I then switched to MLB the show 16 camera and it seemed be fine. I set it to the same camera this year and am having this issue. I use button/zone hitting

Anyone have any suggestions that might help?

There's one camera angle, I think it's retro, where the camera is just straight on, there's no tilt, no angle, I suggest using that and also trying different slider settings if you still find trouble making consistent contact

Yeah I've thought about messing with the timing slider but I don't want to end up getting an unrealistic amount of hits because of it

Re: Camera angles for better timing

I'm using the mlb 15 camera for both pitching and hitting and I tend to be early on everything except fastballs which I'm fine with. Need to be more patient and let the ball get deeper in the zone cause I seem to be able to adjust to fastballs and catch up to them. Everything on default by the way and I'm pretty much a senior citizen so reflexes aren't quite what they used to be.

I have found Fish Eye works the best for timed hitting.

Re: Camera angles for better timing

Strikezone is the best to see the ball. But if you want to improve your timing, get off the TV and buy a cheap monitor that has an HDMI port. Response times even on cheap monitors are better than most TV's.

Re: Camera angles for better timing

With the monitor you can wait a tad later on the ball and not be late.
