RTTS Uniform Number Changing (2016)

I'm currently in year 2020 in my RTTS. When I created my player I assigned him #4, however, his number automatically changes throughout each season I play. So far in just the year 2020 the computer has changed his number from 25 to 11 to 7 to 4 to 11.

Does anyone know how to keep one number all season long? I haven't seen anyone else complain about this issue.

It changes because higher rated players keep their numbers over lower rated players. When you get traded/promoted to a team, unless you're higher rated than the guy who has your number, you're going to lose it.

Thanks for the response. My player is the 2nd highest rated player on the team and has been all year. The highest rated player wears number 45.

Any thoughts?

Well that's weird. Could also be retired numbers.

Definitely strange....right after I sent the message they switched my uniform number to 31 and then back to 4 and then to 11 for the rest of the season.

I just finished the season and signed with the Cubs and started out with #4 (the number I assigned my player). I'll see how the rest of the season goes.
