You are right but given how long it has taken them to even make any changes to commentary at all, gives me the idea that they just don't hold it high on their list. Regardless, yes we have to wait till March 2nd to pass any true judgment.

So it's been confirmed that commentary has been changed for this year.

Retro is new.

Well there is a difference between what is suggested here versus just bringing in two new people without changing Matty V's commentary. We have seen the latter done before but those new guys didn't add anything interesting to the table at all.

Retro mode is a gimmick mode that most people would agree has very little replay value after a few games here and there. Wished more resources were put into things other than retro mode, but I'm still grateful for the team coming here and listening to community suggestions.

Yeah, I figure that will be the case for the vast majority for those of us who have been playing the Show for years, but for younger children and extremely casual gamers who dont have the time to learn all the nuances of a game as complex as the Show, this is an excellent way to bring them into the fold and increase an already too limited budget by Sony for the Show, thereby actually able to increase resources for other things the rest of us care about.

They mentioned in the first stream that retro mode was created in two days. Retro mode doesn't really appeal to me, but I have no problem with it since it took minimal time to implement.

From the looks of everything we know at this point, they have made significant improvements in many aspects of the game this year.

The team says this was something they wanted to do for a long time and with Junior on the cover, got a chance to do it...based on what I've heard the devs say about it, it didn't take long to work on and implement.

Also...I think it's a great idea to get kids playing the game. I loved those old games and it really helped me get into baseball as it had simple mechanics which the "normal" mode of The Show doesn't offer. I definitely support it.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Retro mode was created within a week according the stream. It's not like they dedicated a lot of time and resources in creating it.
