Is this game playable online?

I've played two games online and both of them have been a miserable experience. Both games were full of the other player pausing for near their 5 minutes. And also I was seeing things that apparently didn't happen. Does this happen to anyone one else? How do you guys play this online?

If you are lucky to play someone who isn't constantly trying to steal home, or pause every 2 seconds, the game will probably end up freezing or becoming unresponsive at some point.

Then you get to play the "whoever quits first loses" game.

yes.. very playable online... not sure what the 2 guys are talking about above me. My online experience "ONLY" comes from online franchise league I'm in. So I guess that's why I don't see the people constantly cheesing or pausing and whatever... that isn't allowed in the league. I would say get yourself over to the online section of MLB on this forum... put your name down saying you want to join an online franchise league. I was instantly invited to over 10 here at operation sports.

when I'm in a game playing which I'm in online franchise I can't tell the difference from online game vs offline sometimes

the few problems have been getting connected to other users which I ran into last night for the first time. Not sure why I couldn't connect to this guy in my franchise but could connect to others just fine and so could he.

but once in game this game is great online and probably the best sports game online imo

very addicting

nothing is better than a great user vs user pitching and batting duel and thinking in baseball than this when it comes to sports games online.

I use to think FIFA or NBA2K was the best online sports game but now I think MLB has over taken both

It's been hit or miss for me. Right now it looks like their website is down again so I'm getting nothing but network errors when I try to login.

This biggest issue I have with online right now is 9 times out of 10 I get the challenge failed notification. I'm hoping this is something that can be fixed.
