Anyone had luck stealing bags?

It's impossible for me. The pitcher immediately throws over after starting my lead, and picks me off 99% of the time. The PS4 controls on stealing are rough too. Not as bad as the Vita controls, but just...bleh.

Any help?

Re: Anyone had luck stealing bags?

Try not leading off and not doing the hold release method.

You don't need to have an additional lead to steal and it's worked pretty well for me.

Oh, and don't try and steal with David Ortiz

its too easy to steal imo. I don't even lead off and I'm swiping bags with Myers and Kemp all the time

yep yep. any player with an 80 spd pr over it is pretty much 100% stolen base for me. I have asked the slider gurus for help on this one to make it tougher

Re: Anyone had luck stealing bags?

I'm finding the baserunning controls are occasionally unresponsive.

I've had several obvious steal runs or plate runs and pressed the button and my guy stands there until I tap it two or more times, by which time he's late setting off and doesn't always make it.

The controller bumpers seen responsive when I test them on other pages on the PS4, which I did to rule out mechanical issues.

Maybe I'm the only one who's had this problem?

Played 2 franchise games in MoM & Eric Young Jr. has 3 stolen bases already. Played the live game yesterday against the Marlins & got the trophy for stealing 3rd & 2nd both with EY & Peterson.

Yeah, I'm having zero success with the hold and release method. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. I release on first move and my guy still gets thrown out by a mile. But when I just hit the L2 and let him go on his own, it's money every time just as long as his speed and steal attribute is solid.
