Digital Download Discussion

I'm debating whether to buy the game digital or a physical copy. The benefit of a digital copy is preloading and I can play right at midnight on release day. Do we have any confirmation on when we can begin preloading?

Also, is anyone concerned about the digital version after they botched last year's release? I remember having to wait until the evening of the release day last year before I could even begin downloading it because PSN botched the release. PS4 was still relatively new back then so I know they've probably ironed this out, but does anyone see this possibly being an issue again? Thanks guys

There's a countdown HUD when you purchase the game bro. how ever long it takes to install preload...probably around 20 min if that...after midnight, you'll be standing in the batters box.

We didn't have the pre-load feature back then. You are usually able to pre-load a game the Sunday before release so we should be able to pre-load it sometime this Sunday.

The game should Download AND Install if you pre-load. So you could be standing in the batters box at 12:00 or 12:01 (depending on how quick you pick teams)

I don't get this physical vs digital pseudo-debate, I really don't

Compared to physical, digital has nothing but advantages.

The only advantage of physical is you can trade in later, if 10 really bucks means the world to you. I personally don't know any fans of The Show that trade-in the game in the first month to get the max value.

Other (somewhat) odd advantages of physical:
- You really enjoy dealing with amazon & co and having stuff delivered to your door
- You're single and the clerk down at Gamestop really catches your eye. (not judging)
- You get the CD 1 day early

Or maybe some people just prefer physical. Nothing wrong with it. I prefer physical copies myself.
