Importing 2014 Franchise seems Unworkable

I read that we can import our franchise from 2014 game into 2015.

What seems most problematical about that is there are a ton of different players on the 15 teams, vs 14.

Esp since I play Oakland, we all know how many players our 'genius' Billy Beane got rid of during the winter.

But all teams of course have many changes made.

I don't get how this will work?

Continue with your current franchise and do not start anew

I'm pretty sure you'll have to start a new franchise if you want the new rosters. From what I understand, importing a '14 franchise into '15 will let use new features like licensed equipment, new uniforms, etc. It just keeps your data so if you want to continue you can.

The entire state of your franchise/RTTS gets sent over to 15, including all the players who moved to different teams in that universe. It's not going to reflect the real life '15 rosters, it's just a continuation of your '14 save file.

Re: Importing 2014 Franchise seems Unworkable

I see, yes that's simple enough. Should have realized that.

If I do this, will the imported franchise still have whatever improvements, changes etc that there are in gameplay

I am kind of astonished at the difference in price for the PS3 version, which I have, and PS4 on Amazon.

Makes me wonder if the PS3 version really has much change to it? PS3 is $40, PS4 $60. This is the only game I play, but I don't think $40 is very typical price anymore for console games.
