Here's why:

They have two good proven offensive players in Castro & Rizzo.
One average OF'er in Fowler. Average C in Montero
Unproven talent in RF(Soler), 2B(Baez), 3B(Bryant/?)
Couldn't even name their LF.

One above average starter in Lester.
A potential above average starter in Arrieta, but has only proven it in 150 innings last year, far from a sure & proven thing.
& then a bunch of average to below average pitchers to round out the rotation.

The 2015 Cubs may be the most overrated, overhyped team in the history of sports, period
Quite hyperbolic, but they are certainly the most overrated team in baseball this season at least.

Or maybe he should have changed the thread title.

I don't know, to me it sounds like he back pedaled. Reading his comments he was clearly doing a traditional ranking (which was bad...cubs at 2? Angels at 12? Etc)

24. Houston Astros: They still have a fun stadium and that guy named Springer is pretty good. Otherwise, the Astros can't seem to emerge from the rebuilding identity that they've carried for years.

Then what does the Astros having a fun stadium have to do with an actual power rankings?

Just keep reading the others. Most are in terms of real world predictions.

LMAO at the Cubs being #2. They have all prospects basically, and prospects are all suspect until they prove otherwise. Adding Lester don't make a crappy team all of a sudden good.

Reds 29, if they are healthy they will be right with the Cards and Pirates fighting for the division. I have my doubts being a Reds fan, but 29 out of 30 is definitely a underrating. If they were 16 thru 20 then I would probably agree more so.

I cant wait to watch all the Cubs fan cry an moan when they still stink this yr, and Im married to a Cubs fan, not sure how that ever happen, lol. Granted I think they will be improved and in time I see them being a team that can make the postseason, but they are still the Cubs, hell freezes over if Cubs ever win it all, probably be the start of the appocolypse, lol.
