I think most of us would gladly settle for closed roof options of retractable stadiums since real time opening/closing seems like a real hassle as far as lighting is concerned. I think Safeco is really the only stadium that actively opens or closes the roof during a game, the others are usually decided before game time due to the extreme nature of the weather in those areas. And we only really use the roof for the first couple months of the season, June through September is relatively dry here. Seems like the other stadiums are closed 90% of the time.
