Waivers after the trade deadline.

I'm now in August in my franchise and I noticed that there were a ton of big-name players placed on waivers right after the trade deadline. Is this normal? I have control of all teams so is this something that I need to police and stop from happening?

Big name players are always put on waivers after the July 31st deadline in real life. Most of them go unclaimed or the team pulls them back after some other team puts in a claim.

How do I make sure that none of them go anywhere? Is there a way to recall a waiver claim if I see one?

Use 30 team control and monitor it.

It should announce to you that so-and-so was claimed and "do you want to reclaim him" or something like that. This happens in real life a lot. If they pass through waivers unclaimed they are able to be traded even after the deadline.

I don't use 30 team control, however, so I'm not sure how it works when you're controlling every team.

I wouldnt worry about them being claimed. I have never seen anyone claimed off waivers after the deadline besides low potential players.

That all depends on who you put on trade waivers, nearly all the guys I put on trade waivers get claimed so I pull them back.

Re: Waivers after the trade deadline.

Leave it be. This is a normal part of baseball so players can be traded after the deadline. If a big name is claimed the team will most likely pull him back off waivers unless they want to dump the salary. But that's not very likely.
