Year-to-Year Saves - Skip a year?

Does anyone know if the carry-forward year-to-year saves will work if you skip a year (or two or more)? So far, I have purchased the new game every year, but you never know what your situation will be like in the future and if there's a year where you just can't swing it, will your save be readable in future versions?

That would be challenging if the rating systems, player models, and other stuff changes. They have obviously figured out how to implement those changes one step at a time (like taking a PS3 save from this year to the PS4 for next year), but I wonder if the save data is basic enough to be carried forward more than one iteration of the game.

Thanks!
Dan

I have no idea, but a workaround could be that you just rent the next version of the game (the middle one), save it on there, then transfer it to the newer one.

True! That's a great idea.

I am certainly hoping no dev reads the top post and thinks, "Great- now they want even more!" I am incredibly excited about the year-to-year saves! I might actually get a RTTS player all the way to retirement...

Yeah or I am sure someone would be able to take your 14 save and save it with their 15 version and just send it back to you.

I don't know, but I hope they stop using the same grass model from the Tiger Woods games. Makes me so mad!

Yeah, the grass totally affects how the game saves.

I was unaware that EA let SCEA use their grass for their games. What a nice company that EA
