Playing the Show on PSVR2

I haven't noticed a topic on this. I recently bought a PSVR2 to use as my TV so I wouldn't tie up our one TV all day. My house isn't huge so I didn't want to purchase another big screen, no place to put it. Anyway I've been playing 23 and 20 for about a week now and I think it's really, really immersive to say the least. To see your batter standing lifesize is really different. I've spent more time playing 20 than the one VR game I own. To me this aspect of the large screen brings more life to the game for me. I'm just curious if anyone else has tried playing the game this way. Did you like it? Dislike it? Would you consider it?

Re: Playing the Show on PSVR2

Is there a video of how the show looks/works on the VR set? Kind of curious now.

Re: Playing the Show on PSVR2

I'll try to answer your question. I searched Youtube but couldn't find a video of someone playing the show using the PSVR2. Then I realized you wouldn't have the same experience anyway unless your TV was 8 feet high. You would be restricted by the size of your TV. The only way to experience The Show this way is to actually use the headset. I can try to describe how it looks. Imagine being in a blacked out room looking at a theatre sized screen. I have my screen sized one click from center and at that point the batter in WIDE camera mode appears life size. If I enlarge the screen more, the batter looks unnaturally tall. The graphics have a matte appearance as opposed to a glossy look. Don't expect the game to look like a 4k tv picture. Once you put on the headset, you will be able to adjust the lens alignment. For me it is an incredible experience but I did pay $ 600.00 ( in the Philippines ) for it. For me it was worth the price.

Re: Playing the Show on PSVR2

Ok thanks, yeah I thought it would be hard to show without the actual VR headset on. So does it switches to 1080p maybe?

Re: Playing the Show on PSVR2

From Wikipedia:
" Cinematic Mode is also supported, which is used to view all non-VR game and media contents on a virtual cinema screen at 1920x1080 @ 120 Hz HDR. " The play area for PS VR2 can be customized using the cameras and the Sense controller. There are three different "VR Play Styles" depending on the game content and compatibility–sitting, standing or room-scale (the last one allowing more movement while playing) You just need to make sure you have it positioned properly for your eyes to focus correctly.

Never thought of doing this! What’s the input lag like? I’ve got an lg cx so lag isn’t an issue, no point me going to something worse, in that regard.

Re: Playing the Show on PSVR2

When I'm playing I see 0 lag. There is no sense of choppiness or delay. I am using standard Dualsense controllers without a wired connection. The headset comes with its own controllers which of course are Bluetooth so I don't expect there would be any lag by design. It would be impossible to play VR games if you had to have a wired connection for the controllers. Again I have no way to actually measure input lag, I can only go but what I see on the screen. I don't see any lag.
