Four Years Into The Show on XBOX Will This Ever Get Fixed?

Four years into MLB The Show on XBOX and they still haven't fix the base running glitch that has plagued the game since the first day on XBOX. Base runners will stop and return to back to base on a steal attempt if you swing at a pitch If a ball is hit into play with one out they stand in between the bases neither advancing on a hit or retreating on an out. If there are two outs and a ball is put in play all base runners will again retreat back to their previous base. This issue is so detrimental to the playing experience that I now play with two controllers in order to keep it somewhat enjoyable. This is an issue that persist whether it's on auto base running or manual.

I play on manual and I’ve never run into this. Are you holding the steal button and releasing when the pitcher starts his motion? Are you pressing it? Just curious what you are putting in to see if I can try this out.

I’ve played all four versions on Xbox and I’ve never once had this issue. This is absolutely controller input, whether accidental or a hardware issue.

Do you by chance use Guess Pitch?

There was an issue a few years ago where the GP input was bleeding into the baserunning input after the ball is put into play.

I would assume it’s something to do with this because the only way to stop the runners is by pressing RT. I know sometimes when I would hit steal but hold RB if I took a lead to not get picked off, if I held it too long then it would revert the runner back to first. It was the only way I was able to replicate this today, so definitely one of those controller inputs.

Even the I had to hold it for too long.
