CPU vs CPU uniform changes

I run a cpu vs cpu franchise. I haven’t figured out a way to change the uniforms in that mode while watching the game. Is there a trick to this? Thanks in advance!

I think you can go back and forth between teams in the uniform selection screen and select uniforms, and then put it in the middle afterwards and press X. But I'm guessing since I don't play CPU vs CPU.

I just control both teams and select everything in the pregame menu; (uniforms/lineups/pitcher/weather) and upon entering the game, I pause the game and slide the controllers back to the middle...

This is the only way to select uniforms and have them stick for spectating the games. It is not a rough process at all...
