So I was happy when in second Spring game a Marlins pitcher not only got an injury but a serious one on default sliders.

I play every Spring Training game. Injuries have always been rare in Spring Training it seems, even simmed games.

Every once in a while I'll see one, but they are few and far between it seems.

Cardinals sweep the Blue Jays to begin the 2023 season

The Cardinals (3-0) swept the Blue Jays over the weekend in St.Louis to begin the 2023 season.

The Cardinals won on Opening Day by coming back against the Blue Jays bullpen after Alex Manoah had shut them down for the better part of 6 innings. The Cardinals then won in dramatic fashion when Tommy Edman hit a 2 run walkoff homerun to give the Cardinals the 6-4 victory. Nolan Arenado recorded his 300th homerun in the game.

Game 2 saw Jordan Montgomery dominate the Blue Jays bats throwing a complete game and recording 11 strikeouts. The Cardinals once again put up 6 runs as they beat the Jays 6-1. Tyler O'Neill put one in Big Mac Land for his first homerun of the season.

Game 3 once again saw the Cardinals come back to win. Jack Flaherty got the ball and gave up 2 runs early, but held on thru 5 innings to earn the victory when the Cardinals made their comeback thanks to Dylan Carlson's 3 run double in the bottom of the 5th. Juan Yepez would hit a solo shot in the 7th to tack on another run, that was needed, after Danny Jansen homered in the 8th to cut the lead to 4-3. Ryan Helsley recorded his first save of the year striking out Bo Bichette with a runner on first to end the game.

The Cardinals will stay home and welcome the Braves to town for a 3 game series.

Anyone else notice that after a game in Franchise, if you check the box score, it doesn't show the batting averages for the season just batting averages for that game? It's always shown season averages, just thought I'd throw that out there

Thanks! Yea I hate how they are toned down in Spring. Injuries are a huge part of the game. Look at Hoskins, Diaz, Altuve, Wainright. I know three of the four I named gapped at the WBC but injuries can happen anywhere at any time.

I noticed this, too. I said something in the "glitches/Bugs thread.

If you access the box score from the schedule screen in Franchise, there, it does show the correct Average/ERA. It's only in game where it has it wrong

Re: MLB The Show 23 Franchise Mode Discussion

So, here we go with 2023. Starting my Tigers franchise. I have a thread going in the DYNASTY section of the message board, but I will also be posting updates here, as it seems this thread usually gets a lot more traffic.

I play every single pitch of every single game, on Legend difficulty. So the stats are all mine, no simulation whatsoever. This year, for the first time, I am streaming each game on youtube as well.

At the end of every update, there will be links to the schedule (with clickable links to every box score) as well as links to the full MLB Standings, and the Tiger's Stats page. All these are done on google sheets, and embedded on a page on Operationsports.com, so when I update the google sheets, the page automatically updates.

I plan on updating after every series. Each update will have a highlight video of each game in the series, with a mini linescore/notable hitters/pitchers. There will also be a link to the full box score, as well as a link to the full game stream on my Youtube channel.

So, with that said.......
