AllTime Rosters for MLB 16, New Ratings System!!!

Gonna have one more big update to my AllTime Rosters, entitled AllTime 3.0 the rosters will have the following changes...

Power ratings will come from Slugging % as opposed to AB/HR, this will mean no more Position Players with 15 Power Ratings, and much more legit rosters and lineups as deserving players like Ichiro aren't kept off the 25-Man roster due to low Power Rating, I'm already seeing an awesome difference in the rosters with this change...

A change in the Durability Ratings as Position players are rankes against 155 Games Played, SP at 30, at RP at 95, this takes RP DUR ratings down, while SP go up for the most part, leading to less RP throwing 5-8 relief innings and a need to be more careful with your Bullpen... Pos Players stay the same...

A widespread change in Pitching Ratings now rating each pitcher against the best of all time. This has led to higher and more realistic Pitch Clutch and H/9 numbers, and while Stamina has dropped along with BB/9, K/9 seem to be up where needed... Basically I think Stam, PClutch H/9 and K/9 are the more important stats and these seem to be more realistic across the board...

ALSO, these changes will make Season play, especially Fantasy Drafting, more fun as each player stands out more as compared to the others. There won't be the logjam of 99's in the SP ranks in a Fantasy Draft that occurred with the original ratings, and Pitchers seem to be falling into roles, especially the Relievers, a lot easier...

I hope to post these by next Week, I think it will be a vast improvement!!!

Did you use players from OS CAP creators? And did you replace SCEA players with CAP guys?

Looking forward to this roster whenever I can get my hands on it this week!

It's in there right now!

I think most of the CAP are from OS creators, I brought them in from my rosters from last year, I don't remember who I got them from. I did some of them, not many though. They are all very good. I also found a base roster that has the legends in it, so some of them are there as well... And yes some SCEA guys were replaced with CAPS... Also these roster have duplicate players, I know that is an issue for some, but I wanted them to be the best of each team, and leaving Randy Johnson for example off the D'Backs or the Mariners would neuter either of those teams...

Huge fan but i gotta ask how do you figure out player ratings?
I like creating older players but I never know how to rate them by looking at their season stats so I just wing it.
Its kind of frustrating I've been trying to figure out how the developers come up with player ratings such as contact vs left and right or speed of a player.

Same here. I've been trying to create the Orioles 1982 Gary Roenicke but he comes out as a 95 overall . He had a good year in 1982 but guess I'm doing it wrong . Maybe BABIP is better to use for contact than regular batting average. Roenicke had a WAR of over 5 in 1982 so maybe 95 overall isn't too far off the mark . Speed is the worst of the attributes to assign . Even worser than throwing accuracy .

This chart will help if your trying to create a position player

For best results go to baseball-reference.com, find your desired player then click on splits then click on the link that says view splits adjusted to be per 162 games or 650 PAs then compare the stats to the chart to get a rating

I put together a Calculator using Excel with ratings based off of players stats generally compared to averages from the leaderboards on Baseball Reference's Play Index, usually the average between #1 All Time and #50 or #100... If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask...
