MLBTS 24 Equipment & Roster Edits

Hi all,

I have a roster set that still includes Noelvi Marte and I'm tired of waiting for Marcelo Mayer. So I've started a thing that I usually do all on my own and that's editing equipment since SDS clearly doesn't care all too much. All likeness is directly pulled from Getty until I start getting to prospects and then I start scouring scouting/team pages. There may be some disparity and not the most up-to-date style for certain players, like Chisholm, who change constantly... so I give them a coherent style and move on. The focus right now is on 26 man rosters, and then it will move to 40 man and prospects. I'm changing positions and numbers for players that I know on the go. Pitchers also don't get too much attention unless they are known for a certain style. I'm also a graduate student so bear with me some on how slow this might be.

The overall goal is to have more unique players. I don't want to see a team wearing all team color cleats and I want to make use of the third team colors more. Not everyone wears white cleats and batting gloves every game.

Yamamoto, Hoo Lee, Imanaga, Woo-Suk, and Matsui are added from the vault as well. Snell and other transactions are done as I go but they are not "finished" until their team is. I will fix salaries, numbers, and of course equipment.

If you want to check it out, my online ID is "DspaceTom". You can check periodically and see if I've updated. Also feel free to use them for whatever you want, I don't care what you do to/with them.

Current Progress:
NL East - Done
NL Central - Done
NL West - Done (Still need to edit Yamamoto's ratings though)
AL East - Done
AL Central - Done
AL West - Done

Final version is up now!

I have spent around 5 days straight looking up these players and editing them to what is currently possible until the season starts officially. I have tried to edit numbers as I go but I no doubt missed some. I believe that these roster will set you on a very solid path if you care about equipment at all. You will have minimal to edit out of the gate for your team, I am hoping. Have fun in your franchises regardless!

v2 is up now! Braves through Rockies done. Will finish at least NL tomorrow and will hopefully move into the AL East. Will be done before the 25th for sure.

Would love to help out. I too pull from Getty Images, google images and even check Instagram accounts of teams for recent highlights.

I was going to wait til opening day since my gear edits are based off ST fits, but let me know if you’d like some help on the rest of your roster set.

Re: MLBTS 24 Equipment & Roster Edits

New roster update dropped based off of the new season. Only change I really see that's substantial is Yamamoto has a scanned face. Little bummed, but I'm going to push forward with mine still. I have all of the NL done at this point and one face scan isn't substantial enough to justify starting over... plus I still have Noelvi Marte on mine and I'd rather have face scanned positional players than pitchers at the end of the day.

Roster moves are up to date on theirs but jersey numbers are still wrong. Taylor is wearing 93 for the Pirates this year, but they have him on 12. I will use this opportunity to adjust Yamamoto's ratings off of their official ratings though. 87 is too high for me... I like their 84 a lot better for longevity.

I've also added JD Martinez to the Mets with today's news.

oof, if you mean a spreadsheet off of the changes I've made then that would take a very long time. I'm looking at everything on the players. Sliding mitts, necklaces, the brand of glasses, etc. I am changing a ton as I go. Nothing unrealistic though. It gives a good base for someone to start a franchsie and then edit their team to their specificity as the real life league proceeds and styles change.

For example, a lot of players switched to Jordan (Like Oneil Cruz) but they are only wearing the all white/black variant because they haven't gotten any customs yet. This is something you can change as you see fit later on.

I appreciate it, but I'd honestly hate more hands in the pot. It's an OCD thing more than refusal to receive help. I've got certain systems in place that are just too much to put on someone else and then I have the expectancy of the returned product to match what I would have done. Feel free to play with them afterwards though. I think a person who pays attention to equipment, like me, will like these.

Also I don't know when I will get to prospects and probable call-ups so I'm just powering through the majority of each teams 26 so I can release for the weekend.

Re: MLBTS 24 Equipment & Roster Edits

With the roster update are you going to start over or can you somehow import the stuff in to the new roster update? Sorry not sure how all this works
