Lack of new face scans..

For those who are waiting to get the game.... don't get your hopes too high on new facescans. They're really lacking it this year. Barely any updates too. Rookies who played last year, no new face scan except for a very few. I'm just hoping it's cause it's the early release, hopefully they're all in the first roster update.

Yeah, I’ve never seen so few scans for rookies, maybe in the entire history of the Show. They’ve got to be part patch here at some point. Really disappointed if they aren’t.

And in game portraits haven’t hardly been touched. Some of the bigger off-season transactions were but the majority were not.

Yeah I know. Normally almost everyone has a scan. Not this year. I think they put all the work on Negro leagues that the facescans didn’t get much attention this year.

Agreed. Lack of face scans is really bad. There’s also really bad faces such as Morel of Chicago and Grissom of Atlanta. A major update is needed to get it right. It’s the first thing I’ve noticed as well as the bat sounds. I have to get a perfect/perfect to get a decent crack of the bat. Maybe that’s the way it should be though.

Gonna assume that most of the guys who came up later in the year last season aren’t gonna have scans.

For Yankees I know already Oswaldo Cabrera has a generic face. Saw it on someone’s stream last night. Would have to assume Weissert as well. Very disappointed in that. As generic faces drive me crazy.

I'm wondering if this was due to the lockout last year? Maybe with shortened spring training they couldn't make it to do scans? Would just be weird cause it seems like they added a bunch the last couple years even with the pandemic.

I guess now that there are minor leaguers with scans in the game there are less players that need updates than usual each year, but still kind of disappointing. I know they were back at ST this year so maybe they are planning on patching some scans in.
