yep under user settings>mode options> online challenge settings

I always wondered that too. I seem to be the road team 9/10 times I play. I look at it as just a way to put the pressure on your opponent. If you can work the starting pitcher and tax him early or put a couple runs up, it will significantly enhance your chance of winning.
