Anyone still Playing the show?

Just wondering if anyone is still playing and how you are playing. I want to start a franchise so bad, but waiting for a good roster set that has updated mlb player ratings based on the past season. Can anyone give me advice on rosters and how they play. Usually I just hit too and sim pitching unless its a save opportunity..lol

I also am a huge Reds fan!!

Re: Anyone still Playing the show?

I'm still playing the show, my most recent player that I have been using is my RTTS 2nd baseman, that was originally a shortstop for the Yankees. His name is Ramon Worley, I made him like 2-3 days ago or something like that yet he's currently in 2016, his sophomore season, and he's doing very well, so far, his hitting has improved. However, the team sucks, because the pitching staff is awful, especially the bullpen, which is why they can still lose even if they score a lot of runs, there was even a game against the Tigers at Comerica Park earlier in the season which we scored 10 runs, but lost 11-10, because the closer gave up like 3 or 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th inning. His strength is his power, his weakness is his plate discipline, though it has been better. He was the 2015 AL Rookie of the Year even though he had a .236 batting average, a .268 on base percentage, and 92 strikeouts in 89 games. He got it because he hit 29 home runs, which led the Yankees, all rookies, and was tied 11th in the AL with Jed Lowrie, and he had 61 RBIs, which was like 3rd or 4th on the Yankees, and 2nd of all rookies, I think.

The show is in my gaming system about 95% of the time. Definitely play this 12 months until the next one comes out.

this

I'm halfway through August in a Mets franchise. 5 game lead for 1st place in my division. Matt Harvey is in the running for Cy Young, and a big part of why I have the 2nd best team ERA in baseball. Juan Lagares is leading the league with 26 Home Runs. Curtis Granderson is in the running for a triple crown with .304 and 24 home runs

There's no way in hell I'm stopping now.

For me the only time The Show comes out of my PS3 is if I'm watching a movie on it. I'm in June of year 2015. Baez and Rizzo are leading the league in HR's, Bryant is leading the RoY voting and Hendricks, 8-2, 1.69 ERA is leading the Cy Young vote. I'll play 14 right up until 15 drops. I'm just really praying that the franchise carryover's work because I'm going to have a hard time starting a new franchise next year!

I havent played MLBTS14 in a long time, its the longest I have ever went without playing it. LOve the game, but health makes it hard for me to concentrate to play the game, so I lost interest once the season was over. Im also a Reds fan, so once baseball was over, i was kind of tired with the way thing went this year.
Not sure if I will play again or not, I have OOTP and I think wit my health going bad, and all text sims might be what I have to play from here on out. Plus I love the realism of OOTP with every team in and all the players. OOTP is the most improessive game I have ever seen with how indepth it is. I still love MLBTS, but I dont know because fo what I have health wise if I will be able to enjoy it again.

Re: Anyone still Playing the show?

I am about to finish my franchise. I am up 2 games to 1 in the World Series (Pit-me vs Det). I am happy to be in the World Series, because the last two years of The Show I lost in the NLCS. I hope to finish it up in the next couple days. Wish me luck!
