RTTS batting cleanup

How do I get to bat cleanup lol I have been putting up great numbers now in my 3rd season, last year had the most hr and rbi on the team but just get put #3. Problem is that it seems about 75% of my at bats nobody is ever on base so I have failed every RBI goal so far this season.

Re: RTTS batting cleanup

Best hitter tends to get put on the 3 spot on RTTS, and I'm gonna assume your the best rated hitter on the team.

Re: RTTS batting cleanup

Yeah it seems like you are pretty much destined to be the #3 hitter in RTTS. Even if your guy is built for lead off. It's disappointing. I wish there was some way that you could prefer a certain spot in the line up and only have goals and such that are based off of that.

My suggestion is to build your power up really high. If it is already in the 80-90 range than I guess you are out of luck unless you land on a stacked team that happens to put you as the clean up hitter.

Re: RTTS batting cleanup

I do wanna say I made cleanup in one addition of the Show by capping my contract at like 55 or 60, not sure it'll work this year though.

Also Geno check the cap thread for an update!

Re: RTTS batting cleanup

I'm pretty sure the Show just follows the classic rules for a lineup: 3rd hitter- best contact/ 4th hitter- best power/ 5th hitter- 2nd best contact.

So as long as you have good contact you'll always be #3

Re: RTTS batting cleanup

Well boo lol. I do believe I have the best contact #'s but the funny thing is our cleanup hitter has had a higher average than me most of the season I'm on a hot streak and up to .354 he is at .357 and has been in the .360's. He has 26 HR's on the season and I have been on a ridiculous home run tear with my new plate approach (power swing until 2 strikes then contact swing) and am at 46 HR now.

Side note - 17 HR in my last 20 games with that approach at the plate including 3HR in a game 3 times.
