The mysterious "square button" Power swing?

I humbly admit that I never use this button. A part of me actually feels like it has a placebo effect if I've ever gotten lucky while using this swing. How many of you actually use this button in situations and find that you achieve a good rate of success.

I have a great success rate with it. I only use it with power hitters and generally if I make good contact it goes over a wall.

Hmmm. I rarely use it either. I use contact swing but not power a whole lot. Usually on 3-1 counts when Im looking strictly fastball.

I rarely rarely use it as well but I also have a good success rate with it.

I don't like using other than when I'm ahead in the count with 1 strike or less and in a situation when I absolutely NEED a home run. I love the risk reward with the button though.

Re: The mysterious "square button" Power swing?

I'll use it in fastball counts with my big hitters, it's not always a home run but if its right in the middle of my pci and good contact it's definately a longball...

Re: The mysterious "square button" Power swing?

I use it when the situation is right (3-0, 2-0 counts or when Im looking to really crush the ball when I'm seeing the ball well)
I actually have pretty good success with it too, sometimes I just chop the ball into the dirt but you have to pick and choose with it...
I find if you're not making good contact or if a pitcher is just dominating you, don't use a power swing because you will just look silly lol

Re: The mysterious "square button" Power swing?

this is my fifth year playing this game and I can remember hitting only a couple home runs using it. Seems like I've gotten more hard hit base hits with it than anything.
