Early Regression

In my current Franchise, I'm in year 4, and Chris Sale (age 26) as begun to regress. Anyone have any thoughts why? I don't it's performance related as he's 9-1 with a 2.61 ERA. He still has A potential so this confuses me. If he's jt going to continue regressing I might as well trade him.

Re: Early Regression

Is it heavy regression or just like a point in an area not being trained?

I had Giancarlo Stanton regress heavily when he was 28 in one franchise. When he was 30 he was down in the 70's.

I just passed the draft and he's dropped 1 point in most of the pitching categories (stamina, velocity, k/9 etc.) and 2 in some others.

I have Stanton too so I desperately hope that doesn't happen.

Re: Early Regression

1. Just to be sure, did you download the patches?
2. Did you manually bump up his ratings at all?

Re: Early Regression

I just joined because I am having problems with this. In my Cards franchise Molina dropped 3 ovr points in a season he was batting well over .300. The whole regression system is messed up though how can Beltran have 30 HRs and drop to a 77.

I know that pretty much as soon as you hit age 33/34 they start to regress extremely fast. R.A. Dickey dropped from a 95 to a 72 in my first year.
