An attempt to make the game realistic has backfired

First pitch swinging doesn't work very well in this game.

I've noticed it the entire time I've had the game, but really bad this last game. I was playing online and this guy kept throwing me first pitch fast balls. I would time it right, hit it right and every time, weak fly out or ground out. Joey Votto Jay Bruce don't miss 90 mph fast balls down the middle.

Yet I've hit many home runs with non home runs hitters on pitches just outside the zone or on the corner working the count.

That's not baseball. 1st pitch swinging on pitches doesn't mean you get out and working the count and hit bad pitches doesn't mean home runs.

When Josh Hamilton was crushing everything the first half of last year, he was first pitch swinging over 70% of the time.

Let me try to understand what you're saying... If you swing at a first pitch FB, realistically you should hit a homerun?

Ok, got it.

I am not seeing this at all. Are you sure your pci is centered on the ball? Ball In the upper half can lead to lazy flyballs. In the lower half can lead to grounders. Timing isnt the only thing that matters when swinging. Swing location matters a ton too.

That's not what I said smart ***. I'm saying that I went 0-8 on first pitch swinging between those two my last game and I've just noticed it a lot.

I've gotten a lot of hits using pitchers working the count when people miss the corners and work the count.

My point is pitchers shouldn't be getting hits when all stars miss batting practice location pitches.

I believe Adam Dunn missed batting practice fastballs about 100 times last year.

And quite a few pitchers hit home runs.

I don't really understand this thread.

First month here and you have already resorted to name calling. Cool.

From another thread...

These are my stats from games I've played

5 runs on 9 hits (8 innings)
7 runs on 9 hits (9 innings)
5 runs on 7 hits (9 innings)
4 runs on 5 hits (9 innings)
2 runs on 3 hits (5 innings) I tapped out
8 runs on 14hits (9 innings)
1 runs on 2 hits (7 innings)
4 runs on 12hits (9 innings)
6 runs on 12hits(9 innings)

MLB average is 8 hits a game and 4 runs.
Now I'm even more confused - are you getting too many hits or not enough?
