I know it may still be a little off, but the players budget was only 92 million, the royals have gone as high as 78 in 2010 and thats only 40 man roster..in game its for all 90 players..

If you look at the screen, the Player Salary is at $91.88M and the Staff Salary is at $16.76M. Their payroll is only at $108.64M but they have room to add $12.61M.

I don't think staff salary is included in the MLB's luxury tax threshold which is what fans typically consider to be the teams payroll. The player salary in 2017 of $91.88M seems reasonable since they have a ~$75M payroll currently and some playoff runs could increase that budget in theory.

On another note, the number ratings are very odd to see in this game.

Edit: OR what MLB Bob said

Re: (PS Blog) MLB 13 The Show’s Franchise Mode Gets Personal

Great blog.

It seems at long last Franny mode really got the love its needed for a couple of years now.

The draft and in particular scouting strategy leading up to the draft takes on a whole new level of importance now.

Looking forward to tabarnes thoughts on this later.

Budgets are not 1-to-1 representations of the real MLB budgets.

I assumed so, others where concerned about the Royals having such a high budget, I was trying to explain why its not that inaccurate. The post below me said the exact same thing...maybe just more clear..I wasnt complaining

Looking forward to this game so much...wish we had "fake" rosters to start with until OSFM comes out..
