Need Help with Choosing team in Franchise

Want to start a Franchise with a new set of rosters, I am thinking the Oakland A's, which could be challenging for the simple fact its very small market team or Arizona. Why Arizona? Well a life long Tiger Fan here and Gibby and Tram are boyhood hero's so that intrests me along with doing one in the National League? Has anybody ever started a Franchise with these teams?

take the rockies and i know that sounds stupid but they have good young pitchers and a few young position players
they also have alot of tradable players

Rockies are intriging, would definately be challenging to put together a pitching staff that could actually be good. Thanks for the suggestion.
