PS Vita Trophy "For the Greater Good"

To unlock this trophy, a broken bat base hit is needed. I'm using analog batting and been guess pitching outside so when the pitcher throws inside I can get jammed and get a chance to break the bat.

I've been unsuccessful in doing so as most of the broken bats I get are foul balls.

Any suggestions?
