Help me with Sac Flies!!!!!

Please can someone help me?
With runners on 1st and 3rd I hit a fly ball to the outfield, how do I get the runner on 3rd to run without the 1st base runner (who is standing between 1st & 2nd waiting to see if ball is missed or dropped) charging round the bases himself?

Move the left analog to the baserunner you want to run, which in this case is left for the guy on third. Hold the analog in that position and press the base you want him to run to, which is x. The buttons are already in the same positions as the bases, so triangle is 2nd base, circle is first, and square is third.

If I have the bases loaded and want the guys on 2nd and 3rd to tag up do I push the left stick up and press the square button?

That one is trickier. Left stick up and square would only send the guy on second to third.

The best way to do this IMO is to press R1 to retreat all of your guys to the base while the ball is in the air. Press L1 at the catch to send all 3 of your guys, then press right and circle to retreat your runner on 1st back to the base.

How do you influence your hit? Is there a way to do that? I know there used to be

I dont even think you have to hit the base. If you press LS towards the runner and just hit L1, he'll go. That way, if you want 2nd and 3rd to go, just real quick go LS left + L1, LS up + L1. OF will probably go home if he has the arm, man on 2nd gets in safe and since you sent 3rd home first, he'll have a headstart.

You don't have to hold down the LS to get guy to run just hit it toward the runner and you will see it starting to flash that's how you know he's selected. Then once u got him going flick the LS towards whoever you want next. Unless I'm retreating the runners I prefer to individually move base runners on tag ups to minimize base running errors.

To in fluence balls hit hold R2 and move the RS in desired location.

To influence the hit you hold down R2 and push up on the right analog stick... this works inversely for grounders (push down). The controller will rumble to confirm your selection.

Regarding advancing runners... I think classic baserunning controls are so much easier and better. It's as simple as pushing the icon of the individual player and then pushing on the d-pad to the base you want them to run.
