I really wish I was good at making faces in this game. I can never get my player to look like me. Wish I was as good as some other face makers on here.

Made myself a 1B again same as last year. Drafted by the Brewers.. Big shoes to fill with Fielder in Detroit. 1 HR 11 RBI's through 18 games, the pitching on the team is awful though. Ranked 30th in the league in ERA and we're sitting with a record of 6-12... 5.5 back of 1st. Loving all the little gameplay improvements thus far

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread

is there a way to view league transactions and news easily(or at all) in RTTS? I'm currently still in AA, but would like to try and keep up with what's big trades/signings/etc happen at the MLB level. I swear I've entered every menu option in RTTS but to no avail? I remember being able to view this in past years, I believe, but the last game I had was 09.

Unhappy Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread

My SP, who I put on the Blue Jays, was two outs away from a no-no in AA ball until I got hit with a ground ball single right up the middle.

I've never threw a no-hitter before and was positive this would've finally been the time I did. So heartbroken lol

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread

Started a starter RTTS. May or may not stick with it once the full minors roster is out. Anyway, I made a SP, drafted by Miami. I've made 3 starts so far and done well. Except for my control. I am walking a lot, and I mean a LOT of batters. Last outing, 7IP, 8 BB. Overall, I have 17 BB in 19 IP. However, I do have 18 Ks. A regular Nuke LaLoosh, guess.

BTW, this is using pulse pitching with no slider modifications.

Re: MLB 12 The Show: Road to the Show Thread

3B, drafted by the Brewers! Booooooo! My player is sloooooow and not very strong, even though I went with more of a power hitter than a contact hitter.

I started with Timing/All-star for hitting, then dropped down to Timing/Veteran and now I believe to Timing/Rookie. Can't wait to get my contact hitting rating up higher so I stop seeing all these perfectly-timed swings missing balls right through the middle of the zone.

I started off my career with a 4-5 game with 3 doubles and single and 2 or 3 rbi. Since then, I've fallen way off, hence the changes to the hitting difficulty level. I'm now batting about .280, 1 HR, 37 RBI, 31 SO in 160 AB.

Only complaint so far is the number of bunts in the game when you decide to create a 3rd baseman. It's pretty ridiculous how many AA players are trying to bunt for singles; that won't get you called up very quickly.

My one highlight so far is robbing a shot down the line and throwing the guy out at first. Will be uploading that video soon!
