Help from Show Vets Please

Hey,
I'm new to the MLB Show game series, well actually baseball games in general but this year started to watch baseball a little more and I got interested enough to buy '11. I absoluetly LOVE this game except for the fact i am probably the worst hitter in the world lol. i am using TNK & PsychoBulk's sliders for my settings and i want to keep it that way cause the game is very fun. I just want tips on how to hit and which hitting preference i should use?

Hey IMO I think you should start off with Classic controls until you get the feel for the game with hitting interface set to timing which will trim off the plate coverage indicator .

Or jump into some exhibition games to get the timing down untill you feel ready to jump into a chise or rtts.

Here is what I would do until you get the hang of it:

Hitting: Timing
Pitching: Analog
Throwing: Buttons

The most important change I made was buying TV with 'game mode'.

Okay thanks to all for the suggestions. Yeah all i've been playing is exibition and practice modes. i'm gonna keep working at it though the most recent baseball game i've played before the show is rbi '95 for my sega emulator (still play) haha so it's taken some work
