Always late.

Is anyone else late on EVERYTHING. I hardly ever pull the ball. Maybe I need to lower pitch speed.

Re: Always late.

I have the same problem. Probably because I haven't played a baseball game of any kind since '09. My hitters eye has experienced a bit of atrophy it seems. Pretty realistic if you ask me.

I've got pitch speed down to 3 for now. I'm hitting just .220 (29th in the MLB) as a team on May 2nd. Ouch. My pitching has me 3 games over though, currently have a 3.50 team ERA (5th).

Re: Always late.

It could be the batting cam as well. I was using Offset 6 when I got the game, and I just couldn't pull inside pitches. The ball just gets on you too fast with the offset and wide cams for some reason, maybe even an issue with those views. I actually thought there was something wrong with the swing timing until I fiddled with the batting cams in practice mode, and I found catcher 8 and catcher 9 to be the best as I was able to pull inside fastballs when I was sitting on them.

It could also be input lag, I knew input lag wasn't my issue as I play on a SDTV.

Re: Always late.

Probably input lag on your TV.

My TV only eliminates input lag if I have the PS3 on the PoP side.

I would recommend changing cameras.

Re: Always late.

I've tried lowering the speed and i actually think it's harder to time when the pitch speed is down. Raised it back up and am finally getting the right amount of hits. To bad my cubbies are 5-20
