Re: Fantasy Draft tips.

Usually, I look young in my guys. If there is a player who's good but old and a player underneath him that is not as good but younger, I'll take the younger one. In my Franchise, I have 2 players over 30 and thats it

What order of posistion do you take? do you pre plan it kinda?

Also does it get old? I mean I've never done it because I'm all about realism in the game, so i've been thrown away from it...

But I really want to finish a 162 game season or two in this years game, always get close but quit. so i'm trying to make a dynasty in the forums for people to follow so i'll be inclined to finish it haha... seems like a fantasy is unique so people may get drawn in.

Re: Fantasy Draft tips.

I too go young when playing a Franchise with a fantasy draft. I chose to do (and hopefully stick with) a Franchise w/my Royals. Now financially I know I'm pretty limited, so I was able to focus young but get a couple good veterans (especially pitching-wise w/an not-injured, Wainwright, David Price, Ubaldo Jimenez). I too wanted some of our top prospects (like Moustakas, Hosmer, Montgomery, Lamb) and was able to get them. My pitchers will get to develop in the minors, while Moustakas already is w/the major league club and doing okay. I'm excited to see how this pans out since I'm handicapped offensively but have awesome starting pitching.

Re: Fantasy Draft tips.

What I do is open up Excel and I put down about 100+ guys that I would want and where they went in the draft Early, Mid or Low in the round. As I went along I mapped out who I needed to take before hand and what I needed to what I have already taken.

For the most part players end up going within a few picks each time depending on what the team took and there has been a couple that went a few rounds early or late, but not often. The randomness is pretty good, but not so good at the same time. There is certain rounds where the CPU picks all pitchers then all position players then all A rated prospects. That will switch up giving it the bit of randomness and why some guys go a few rounds different each time.

I draft super young. Some guys I got.

Carlos Santana
Lonnie Chiesenhall
Justin Smoak
Freddie Freeman
Bryce Harper
Jacoby Ellsbury
Troy Tulowitzki
Yovani Gallardo
Jeremy Hellickson
Brett Andrerson
Kyle Drabek
Madison Bumgarner
Chris Sale
Aroldis Chapman
Jeremy Jeffress

and so on. Not great, but pretty young and talented.
