I just can't believe the most realistic sports game got even more realistic this year. Fantastic job SCEA.
Yes, the analog pitching is fantastic! You just feel more "immersed" in the gameplay with this interface, AND the same can be said about analog fielding too! Nothing is easy now... and thatīs great!

Swaldo,

I may tend to agree with you on not being punished enough for hangers (on AS)...but it's really tough to say right now. Especialy after giving up a walk-off 3 run dinger to Posey on a REALLY well executed pitch! LOL

Since the demo only allows us to roll with the respective number ones, I wonder, if my results were worse, if I would consider analog pitching too unrealistic.

With Lincecum, I can't complain whatsoever. It's great to use a default setting this year, and still be able to mow guys down with one of the best strikeout artists in the league.

With Wilson, however, I've been getting out of jams a tad easily, but the Giants aren't exactly a powerhouse, .270 hitting team either. And in some games, they do light me up from time to time.

Ramone said, in so many words, to just wait and see the difference with 3, 4, and 5 guys. At this point, I don't see any reason to doubt that. I'm walking quite a few batters as it as, and considering I'll be using the Yankees this year...

Let's just say I really do believe that I will have my work cut out for me. Even on default AS.

Oh, and it's nice to see you back on the Show boards Swaldo.

I said something similar to this in my first impression, and still after hours and hours and hours more with the new analog pitching mechanic, I could not agree with this more.

In my opinion, analog pitching is the single greatest mechanic I have ever seen in a baseball game. It feels real...like actually throwing a ball. It's not too easy to paint...but when you do, it's lovely, and it's fun.

Great post 31.

The "and the runner is going to try to steal home (when i never sent him)" glitch is still in the game... or should i say demo. Hopefully this is not in the final build.

I don't believe this is a glitch. Holding left on the Left Analog Stick + pressing X will send him home. It's basically a feature designed to let you early steal, but it rarely(never?) works against the CPU.

Basically, don't practice swing while you're moving the Left Analog Stick or you could potentially make your guy steal.

You must have missed the part in parentheses where i said i didn't send him. I know i didn't. My thumb was on the right analog and my left hand didn't touch anything. It's happened twice today and used to happen in '10.

I have never, ever had a runner take off without my telling him to do so.

C-Bailey, do you play with Guess pitch/ Guess location on or off?

Nor have i, in all the years with this game.

Bailey may have accidentally caught L2 (which will send ALL runners) with his left hand, i know i have done that before by accident.
