MLB 10 Memories Thread

With it being so close to MLB 11 coming out soon, it really makes realize all the fun you had playing this game, and it brings back all those memories. So. post those memories here!

Personally, mine was when I hit a Walk-Off Grand Slam against the Yankees in Game 7 of the World Series with Dominic Brown in my Phillies Phranchise.

Re: MLB 10 Memories Thread

I was playing a game in the online league I was involved in, as the Twins. I hit back to back to back homeruns. It was awesome. Later on I got kicked out of the league because two people (one of them being the commisioner of the league) got mad because I always beat them and I hit alot of homeruns, so they used that as an excuse and said I was cheating, but I stil remember those back-to back- to back homeruns, it was awesome

Re: MLB 10 Memories Thread

The first one that comes to mind was during my Yankees franchise.

It was interleague play, and I was facing The Mets. I had A.J. Burnett going up against Oliver Perez and this game ended up being ANYTHING other than what you'd expect from a head-to-head matchup between these two.

All in all, I can't remember exactly how many innings this game ended up going, but if I recall correctly, both Perez and Burnett ended up pitching somewhere around 9 innings of shutout ball apiece.

In came the relievers, in a 0-0 game, and I had the opportunity to either walk Jemile Weeks (with one out) to load the bases (it was a first and second situation), or pitch to him to get the inning ending double play (there may have been two outs, but either way, I'm positive that I had to decide whether or not to pitch to, or walk Weeks).

I was like, "Jemile who???!!!"

So I pitched to him...

Base hit, game over.

Yes, my most fond memory of 10' was a game in which I lost in extras against my cross-town rivals. That says a lot about the greatness of this series.

Re: MLB 10 Memories Thread

After not playing the game from october to december, I picked it up again in January. First game, with my Tigers at LAA. Deep fly ball to center, Jackson is running back, scales the wall and pulls the ball back! First time I have robbed a home run in two years of playing the show.

Honorable mentions:
Hearing Vasgersian reference Ernie Harwell when the Tigers turn a double play

Re: MLB 10 Memories Thread

Hitting a solo homer in the bottom of the 9th with 2 out and 2 strikes on Aaron Hill. Then hitting a walk off single to win it in the bottom of the 16th with Hill again.
