I don't think you can use the player vault after you have started your franchise though. I could be wrong on that, but I thought knight said something about not being able to do that this year. If I am wrong, that would be fantastic.

No...you're right.
They tried....they actually kept trying until about two weeks before we got to the event. It was just wreaking havoc with the rosters and causing crashes. Kolbe said they were close...but not liking it enough in it's state to let it in so close to going gold.
I think we'll definitely get it next year and that will be fantastic.

Has the release date always been early March? I thought once it came out about a week before Opening Day? Even though it sounds like blasphemy, any chance of the release date being later next year if there's more to "squeeze in?"

its always been late Feb or early March. For MLB '07, the PS3 version of the game was delayed until April. The PS2 and PSP versions came out in Feb/Mar if I recall correctly.

Wow! I really hope teams will recognize franchise players a little more and position depth. It use to annoy me when you would see superstars traded to a team only to sit on the bench behind another superstar. Best example I have was when Adrian Gonzalez was traded to the Cards in my franchise. He was sitting the bench behind Pujols for 2 years before I made some trades to get him on a team that made more sense. The funny thing is, I got him on the Red Sox!
