UZR and Fielding Metrics

This game is awesome. Nobody is questioning that. However, a major issue for me is the fact that defense does not matter. Defensive statistics have revolutionized MLB the last 5 years and this should be reflected a little more in The Show. Adam Dunn should not be playing right field like Jay Bruce or Ichiro. Just a thought and I am looking forward to see if this is addressed in '11.

You have a valid point. There definitely needs to be more differentiation in player ability represented on the playing field. Hopefully some more attribute ratings could be "plugged in" to create differences in the fielders.

Agree... I think it did get better with '10 but I'd like to see more this year.

Same here! They are always improving, so I am excited to see what they have to offer with ratings, and fielders differentiating in that regard!

If we actually got to play defense, then I think you would see a big difference between good and bad fielders. You don't real play defense in this game, it's all computer.

What if every defensive rating in the game was torn out the game and re-written from scratch?
