Perfect Game/No-no Survey

I've seen many threads of people declaring the no-hitter or perfect game, but I want to run a poll to get some numbers out of it.

Vote:
Thrown a perfect game
Thrown a no-hitter
Thrown multiple perfect games/no-hitters
Perfect game past 7th
Perfect game into 9th
Perfect game lost on final out
No-hitter past 7th
No-hitter into 9th
No-hitter lost on final out
Never made it to 7th

EDIT: This is not just for MLB 10. This is for any game PS2 and beyond.

Re: Perfect Game/No-no Survey

Just last night I had a no-hitter going with Max Scherzer and the Detroit Tigers against the Washington Nationals at home in my franchise. I had it for 6.2 innings until a weak chopper back to Scherzer. He fielded the ball, and I pushed O to throw to first but he just stood there for a a second or two, THEN turned to throw, and by then the runner was already safe at first. Should have been an easy out, but glitches happen I suppose. No idea why he was just standing there, as the throw meter was charged up and everything. Oh well. Makes me want it that much more next time around!

Re: Perfect Game/No-no Survey

I'm still playing '09, but it seems like that happens a lot, especially on bunts fielded by the pitcher.

The closest I've come was 8.1 innings with my RTTS pitcher. I had two walks and another runner let on due to an error. When they finally got a hit, the got another single, and I was taken out of the game even though it was 7-0, so I didn't even get the complete game.

I also took no hitters into the 7th and 6th in back to back games in the playoffs against the Yankees with Galarraga and Scherzer with my 2010 rosters Franchise on 09. It seems like Scherzer's high K/9 ratio helps a lot with no hitters, because I've taken a few with him into the 5th.

Re: Perfect Game/No-no Survey

I havent thrown one in the Show but I threw a perfect game with Colby Lewis in MVP 05 in a playoff game against the Yankees. In the Show I took one to the 6 or 7 inning.

Re: Perfect Game/No-no Survey

Had a no-no going on Allstar baseball 2003 with the Dbacks and Randy Johnson. It was at home in the 9th inning with one out and Edgar ****in Renteria broke it up on a liner to right.

Closest Ive gotten and will probably get to a legit no-no

I threw a no hitter with my RTTS pitcher in MLB 08. Closest I've got since then has been the 5th and 6th innings.

Re: Perfect Game/No-no Survey

The furthest I have personally been to throwing a no-hitter was taking one into the seventh.

I almost had one thrown against me in an online game. The guy I was playing against had me no-hit through 8 2/3 but I hit an infield single to break it up with my last out. I actually felt bad for the guy, that had to be depressing.

Re: Perfect Game/No-no Survey

I'm pretty surprised at the 4:1 ratio of perfect games to no-hitters, but it does seem a little easy to not get walks in this game, so as long as your fielders hold up I suppose a perfect game would be easier.
