Many times, I'd say about 1 out of 5 times I have runners on base and I'm starting a rally, a weird baserunning glitch would happen to me. I don't press anything, I don't even take an extra lead or plan to steal. But the pitcher steps off the mound before pitching and my baserunners start stealing.

I don't even press anything, and this just happened to me now and I decided to ask my buddies here at OS if anyone else gets this annoying glitch. I don't even press any buttons, I just wait for the pitch. And then all of a sudden, 1st and 3rd with 1 out turns into no runs and 3 outs.

I've played 98% of my games and never seen this. Can you take a video (replay) of it?

Are you SURE you're not hitting L2? And if you're using guess pitch, part of what you're hitting might be signaling the runner(s).

Maybe it's my controller. I'll try playing with a different one. But still... L2 is still not supposed to be activated in a 'slight' touch (if that's what it is). MLB 10 is the only game that I'd be having this problem too -- if it is a controller problem I mean.

Damnit.. happened again. I was down 5-2 making a comeback. Matt Diaz hits a triple with 1 out. And for some reason he just decides to try and steal home but hte pitcher steps off the mound and he gets into a pickle. I see this at least once a game. I've tried two other controllers and I hold up on the left trigger to make sure I'm not accidentally pressing down on it...

Do you use guess pitch at all? I know guessing a combination of a pitch and a direction will send him home. Left and X as someone said.

If you are using guess pitch on veteran difficulty level or higher with new baserunning controls and you press square and down as your guessed pitch that will activate the runner on third base. I would know... It happened to me all the time. You have 2 options I know of to fix this, if that is your problem:

1. Quit guessing that pitch

or

2. Use classic baserunning controls.

I hope that helps. If not than I haave no idea.
