Franchise Mode: Homerun Derby Participants and Winners

I thought this might be a fun thread to read through as it would be cool to see the various participants and winners in everyone's homerun derby events during the All-Star break of their respective franchise seasons.

I guess I'll start.

The participants for my 2010 homerun derby event were:

AMERICAN LEAGUE

Carlos Lee
Adam Lind
Prince Fielder
Kendry Morales
Ryan Howard
Alex Rodriguez

ROUND 1

Alex Rodriguez - 15 hrs
Kendry Morales - 12 hrs
Ryan Howard - 10 hrs

Carlos Lee - 1 hr

ROUND 2

Kendry Morales - 14 hrs (26 total)
Ryan Howard - 14 hrs (24 total)
Alex Rodriguez - 7 hrs (22 total)
Prince Fielder - 5 hrs (22 total)

FINAL ROUND

Cool idea...did you control anyone?

I'll be back in about two months with my results!

Re: Franchise Mode: Homerun Derby Participants and Winners

Bout 2 weeks past the All-Star game in my franchise with the Royals. I can't recall everything, but here is what I do remember. Manny Ramirez won, defeating Alex Rodriguez in the finals. Manny put up the high for a round, hitting 12 in the 1st round. I only hit 5 with Billy Butler and didn't advance.

It was my experience with Home Run Derby, and I thought it was a cool experience and seamless progression in the season.

I control all the hitters.

Re: Franchise Mode: Homerun Derby Participants and Winners

Super bump, but I remembered this thread existed, and I just finished my HRD in my franchise. The participants:

AL
Magglio Ordonez(Rays)
Miguel Cabrera(Tigers)
Adam Lind(Blue Jays)
Lance Berkman(Mariners)

NL
Adam Dunn(Nats)
Prince Fielder(Brewers)
Derrek Lee(Cubs)
Ryan Braun(Brewers)

Finals were Cabrera vs Lind(who had a 20 HR 1st round, but had 3 in the 2nd road, and 4 in the finals), and Cabrera won. The longest home run was Lind with a 487 foot BOMB to right field.
The All-Star week was such a wonderful addition to this game, and I can't wait to get to Year 2 and get back to the ASB haha

During my player's time in the majors, I participated in the derby and all star game for the first time. It was cool. I won the derby, but then I was sent down to triple A, traded twice, and now i'm playin' with the damn Durham Bulls.. long way from when i was playin with the yankees.

Re: Franchise Mode: Homerun Derby Participants and Winners

I don't remember all the participants in mine, but I had Juan Rivera in it and some of the CPU guys were A-Rod, Ryan Howard, Lance Berkman and Josh Hamilton.
I made it to the final with Rivera but lost to A-Rod. A-Rod actually almost made an early exit because he was down to his last out in the first round with only 3 homers (needed 10 to advance) but he went on a tear to advance.
