12-6 Curve

Is this the most useless pitch in the game? Either one of two things always happen when I use this pitch: 1. 90% of the time it ends up in the dirt. 2. it ends up being a hanging curve and gets crushed for a base hit (more often times than not for a home run). I can't get command of this pitch and I'm using Tim Lincecum mind you. Maybe I'll get a batter looking once in awhile, but that is a rare situation.

I use meter pitching and get the timing perfect, yet I never have success with this pitch. Anyone else agree that the 12-6 curve is noting but a wild pitch?

Re: 12-6 Curve

Always place the curve on outside of the hitter. That's what I do and it usually works. Its when you go brave and drop it down the middle or inside that it gets crushed.

No, it's an excellent pitch. One of my favourite to use as I get a lot of outs with it. If you do time it wrong it's likely to be hammered a long way though.

I agree. IMO, Gavin Floyd's is actually a little too good on this game.

Verlander's is nasty. I get K's with it constantly.

Re: 12-6 Curve

It's definitely a tricky pitch to throw. I find my results are best when I ease up on the power, just throwing it in the yellow.

Re: 12-6 Curve

I don't like it either, but when I did use it I had the most luck aiming a little high and then hitting the release point a little late. Seemed like when I did that it would break extra hard and end up where I wanted it.
