I hate to complain, but....

I think this is a WORTHY complaint!

Bases loaded.....bottom of the eighth inning.....one out......tie score (4-4). My batter hits into a double play. End of the inning, right? Yes.....BUT....the game COUNTS THE RUN from third base!!! The ninth inning starts with the score 5-4. WTF?

Of course....why complain when I score a "freebie" run? I cannot BELIEVE this happens in such a polished and highly acclaimed MLB franchise game!!! Give me a break!

It does suck but it has been documented in the bugs and glitches thread.

Re: I hate to complain, but....

I have played this game quite a bit and have yet to see this.

There have been times too there was a runner on third and he crossed the plate before the throw made it to first and the run never counted.

Hopefully I never see this!!!

Yeah that sucks not good at all. Would like to know the answer to CB's question though.

Re: I hate to complain, but....

Why? A fielder bobbling it is irrelevant if they still turned the double play.

Re: I hate to complain, but....

It happened to me last year also, I thought it would of got fixed. Obvously not.

I also was closing my first game vs Houston and Hunter Pence hit a ball that was going over but it gravitated into Velez's glove and that was the game. In the replay it showed the ball would of scrapped over top of fence, but no rob HR indicator came up so I thought was just going to catch up against wall. Ended up caught, but should of been a HR.

Re: I hate to complain, but....

Surprised as well that this would happen. Was the double play forced? Because if it was a 3-6 DP where the 1b tagged first-base first then threw onto the SS for the tag, the run would count if he crossed HP before the tag...
