Manager Mode: low scoring and hits

Anyone observed that MM has few runs and hits. I have played about 10 games with the A's during the season, have been shut out a few times and the opposing team has never gotten more than 4 runs. This seems opposite from CPU v CPU where there are more hits and runs, and according to some, too many. I am concerned that pitcher confidence is now too high throughout the game. Any thoughts?

I just responded to your post on the same subject in another thread, but to sum up, I think it's just a slump for your hitters and a good run for your pitchers.

Indeed that might be the case with a small sample. I am wondering though if you are seeing slugfests at all on MM and pitchers getting rocked etc..

I listed the scores of my current season mode games in the other thread. But I will say that the game I'm playing as I type this is 10-1 in the 7th, so yeah, there's some pitcher rocking going on.

My set-up man has an ERA over 84 (not a typo) after the first week of the season, too.

The only sliders I've touched are starting pitcher stamina (raised) and CPU pitcher hook (lowered), and I didn't actually touch those until before the game I'm playing right now. Everything else is default.

Again I'm going to agree with Azamien. I prefer lower scoring games. I think the starting pitcher gets roughed up a little too much.

Ok thats good to know. Not surprising with the A's who have good pitching and lousy hitting. Thanks for the input.
