Run Forrest, Run

ok, am I the only one having a severe time out on the basepaths?
I had 2 rallys killed short by botches on the bags.

it seems confusing toe try to navigate more then one guy at a time.

I tried the setting to have the CPU take care of things, but they r no help.
they just make bonehead moves lol

the assist it seems is my only option but that seems a little messy.
its very vague on how much they assist.
in regards to sliding, tagging up and the like.

its seems liek me and the cpu are fighting for control.
i dont know, maybe its me.
probably is!

anyone else having problems?

Re: Run Forrest, Run

I used to be just like that but now have it down pat.

Just highlight your runner with the left analog, then in the baserunner window you fill see his icon flash indicating you picked him. Then use the triangle, circle, square and X buttons to indicate where you want him to go to.

Also, use L1 to move all runners or R1 to retreat all runners. Way to hard to individually move more than one guy most times.

Like you, I used to completely struggle with it . . . then it all of a sudden made perfect sense, and it feels so intuitively now.

What is still a little confusing to me, though, is pre-pitch baserunning controls. I.E. with runners on the corners, how do you set for the guy on first to steal second (without ordering a disastrous double-steal)?

I believe so, too, since R2 stops the runners in their tracks.

Yeah L1 and R1 oops.

Steal second only would be left analog to the right, hit L2.

Ya, I am horrible at this too. For now I'm playing on auto in my franchise. I'll eventually go to exibition games and try and figure it out. The way you guys are explaining it makes more sense than what the book and game tell you! There needs to be a tutorial or somethin

I too have just gone to auto baserunning. It's just too much for me to think about with everything else going on, particularly when there are lots of guys on base. It's the only aspect of the game I put on auto.
