Do you use the Left-Stick when batting?

I used it for about a month in 09 and hated it. I guess I have slow reactions because moving the left stick and pressing x and timing the ball was a lot of work for me. I couldn't get hitting down. I eventually turned PCI off and never touched the left stick while batting and my batting improved. By only pressing X I was able to see and time pitches better.

So far in MLB 10 I haven't used the LS but my hitting has been horrible so far especially online. I was almost a victim of a no-hitter last night.

So do you use the LS or not? And do you have the PCI set on or off? If you do use it, any tips you can tell me or others who don't do well with it. Thanks.

No, don't ever use it. Turn PCI off cuz it's a distraction. And I use 1/4 guess pitch to help work the count.

I use it. PCI off, Guess pitch off.

I do. I turn the PCI on and turn off the guess pitch, reminds me of All Star Baseball.

I thought regardless of the PCI setting if you were on veteran you had to move the left stick to hit where the pitch was???!

Negative. Well in 09 at least I played on Veteran, then All-Star, then HOF all without using the left stick and my hitting was very good.

I hope that is the case in 10 because I hate using the LS.

Yeah, I use the left stick to do my hitting. I have the difficulty on HOF, PCI off, guess pitch off, and strike zone off.
