I traded in my XBox 360 and games and received a $235 credit from Gamestop to apply to my PS3 that was guaranteed to be in store by this week. Of course, I took their offer and their credit so I could have a PS3 hooked up and ready to go for MLB release day. So now its Saturday and still no PS3. I am hoping and praying that Monday is the day I get a call.

Anyone else get stymied by the promise of a guaranteed system this week?

Incidentally, I called and they said they did get a shipment, but just not one for me... overextend their promises? Nice, Gamestop!

Use that credit at a different Game Stop that has a PS3 in stock.

Thought of that already... called all three in the area and they are all on a wait list. If I jumped now I would go to the end of the line elsewhere.

When I first was looking into buying my PS3 I checked gamespot and they told me it can be ordered and would take 2-3 days. But im the kind of person who wants it right now cant wait. So I bought it wally world. Sucks dude,hope you get it before Tuesday.

From my experience here in Michigan, both Gamestop and Best Buy have been sold out of PS3's for a while now.

My advice would be to call around looking for a used PS3 system. I got lucky two days ago at gamestop, someone traded in a 250 gig PS3 for cash. So i traded in a couple games and my fat body 40 gig PS3 for the 250 gig slim.

PS3's are going to be extremely hard to find in stores because of The Show (march 2), FF13 (march 9), GoW3 (march 16), etc. Plus the recent release of Heavy Rain too.

Yea... all good points. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I suppose calling and harassing them isnt going to make one magically appear.

BTW... I am in North Florida. Gator Country.
