Anyone else play season (aka franchise-lite) instead of franchise?

I play season instead of franchise because I basically want to be the team's GM and manager, not have to hassle with all the other things in franchise mode. In season mode, you continue playing year after year just like franchise, you need to draft players and everything. Plus, I can choose how many games I want the season to last (you couldn't change season length in franchise in '09). That way I can play several seasons instead just one or maybe two since I really hate simming games; I gotta play 'em all .

Nope.
Only when I play with my Classic rosters and don't care(or need to) about player movement(through the league or on my team).
Just start a franchise and hand all that other stuff to the CPU.
"He" always did a better job than me at it anyway!

There is, not exactly a Franchise/season one but a which mode will you play with a poll option, it's been on page 1 for a while now.

I say this because I know they don't want repetitive threads, but it's all good

I prefer playing a shortened Season with the real life rosters...I just wished they updated the rosters/ratings weekly so that my season was up to date with the personnel changes of real life.

I have always only played Franchise in the past. That being said I didn't realize that season mode was multiple seasons. I love Franchise, but the shortened season lenghts have peaked my interest.

I can't decide shortened seasons with no minors, or Franchise with full minors but forced to play 162 games. I don't mind simming which I have done in the past, but it would be interesting to play a shortened season and play every game. That way if my stats suck it's all my fault. I can't decide.

Is there a reason why Season mode does not include minors? But seriously, they could just combine both considering every franchise option is basically customizable to have the cpu do everything for u.....franchise with season length would be a dream come true.
