I have seen the CPU use position players as pitchers in the minor leagues. In my franchise two position players have pitched over 20 innings in AAA. My AAA pitchers have been awful. But I haven't seen a position player pitch in the majors let alone win 20 games. That is crazy!

ive seen this happen with chone figgins of the angels. not winning the cy young, but he has the same stats as the brian fuentes. somehow everytime fuentes pitches, the stats get recorded for him and for figgins.

I've run into this one too...and it only seems to be with the Angels. Not sure if this would work for the OP's issue too, but to get around this, you can (if you have RC on, of course...it would be more complicated without) remove him from the closer role, and let someone else rack up a few saves.

After a couple games without Fuentes closing, good 'ol Chone goes back to just playing 3rd. Then swap him back and you should be good to go
