Inside the Park HR

Has anyone ever had an Inside The Park Home Run? I have never seen had one in any baseball game by me or the CPU.

I just had one the other day with Rajai Davis of the A's. He hit a soft line drive to right field and Ichiro missed the dive. The ball rolled all the way to the right field wall and Davis just beat the tag at home. It is his only HR of the season and I was stoked.

I had my first ever in Milwaukee a few days ago. Soriano hit a sinking liner to straight-away CF on the third pitch of the game and Cameron missed with his dive. The ball rolled all the way and stopped at the CF wall, and Alfie just barely beat the throw home. Single most exciting play ever. Too bad it was my only run of the day in a 4-1 loss.

I know this is a little off topic, but this picture reminded me of how frustrating the catch and tag mechanics at home plate are. I hope they change that for next year.

i had one yesterday with the Cardinals....Yadi of all people hit a ball to CF who missed it and Yadi was able to beat the throw home. It was his first HR of the year. Too bad that he tore his MCL on the play and is now out 6+ months

I hit one with Chase Utley for the Phillies at new Yankee Stadium. Ball went into the gap in right field, and the outfielders just took forever to get to the ball, and I made it home without a throw home. Pretty exciting.

Hit one last night with Fred Lewis in Colorado against the Rockies.

The ball was just hit perfectly in the left center gap and he was quick enough to get all the way around and barely beat the throw home.

I saved the replay so if there was any way to upload my PS3 videos to youtube I would...

Re: Inside the Park HR

I had one with Jose Reyes in my 1st season. Hit it straight to center, cf dived and missed it. By the time the Lf or Rf got it Reyes was already on 3rd so I sprinted home! I actually couldn't believe it, never done it in a baseball game before.
