Just a general question...

Are there any fielder collisions in the game? Collision detection pretty realistic?

In 2k9, you just constantly run through the other fielders and it drives me nuts. How are the collisions handled in the game?

THAT particular roster will then no longer be a valid save for a non patched version of the game.

v1-v2 and v3 of my rosters were made and uploaded to sendspace from a non-patched machine.....therefore they will
A. Work in a non-patched version of the game
B. Work in a patched version of the game(because once you load it....the game updates it...this is for the vault)

But if you download from those links....you will always be able to use them in a non-patched game(plus I have them saved for the future ...just in case)

v4-v5 and v6 were updated on my machine that has the patch(at the time I didn't know (strike two Kolbe )...that it would change the structure)...

HOWEVER....I will make non-patched versions of those files if the need arises.

SCEA is conspiring to make me blind!

OH Knight I would love if you could ever make a V5 for use with no patch at all. I don't have the patch and really dont want it, and if you could ever do this it would be insane!!!

Also, did Razr do stamina edits to pitchers as well? It's been asked I am sure but couldnt find it. Thanks!!!

Collision detection is absent from this game as well. There are a few canned "collision" animations (like hard slides at 2nd and homeplate collisions) but not real collision detection.

They actually do a better job of covering it up than 2K9 (less issues of guys blatently walking through eachother or occupying the same space for the duration of a cutaway...lol), but it's unfortuantely still quite noticeable at times.

Seriously? That sucks. 2009... Games should have collision detection in full effect. But at least hard slides are present. That's one thing I never understood, why takeout sliders were in 2k9, but the SS or 2nd baseman just took his time, as he made the routine throw to first, letting the runner slide right through him, lol.

So, question guys... For someone who has not started a franchise, is the patch safe to download and start one with? Or should I just start one w/o the patch using Knights lineup fix roster? Decisions, decisions......

Yes. And next week they will fix the replays with a minipatch. You don't need the patch that bad really unless some of the things the new patch addressed (and actually fixed) matter to you (see list). If you don't load the patch remember to use the correct version of Knights rosters listed a few posts back.
